Links that measure without tracking

Klyk shortens your links, designs their QR codes and counts their clicks. It rests on a simple idea: knowing what a link brought in should not require following the people who follow it.

Why Klyk

The short link, rethought from the start

A short link does two things: it shares easily, and it tells you what it brought in. For the second, the habit is to follow visitors much further than needed, with cookies, identifiers and stored IP addresses.

Klyk takes the opposite path. Visitors to your links receive no cookie and their IP address is never stored, and yet your analytics answer the real questions: from where, on which device, from which campaign.

The product is built in public. Its deployments are visible live on the Behind the scenes page, and its privacy policy states exactly what is collected, for how long, and why.

What Klyk will not do

  • No cookies on your visitors

Following a Klyk link stores nothing on anyone’s device, neither a cookie nor an ad ID.

  • No IP addresses kept

It is used once, at click time, to work out a country and a salted fingerprint. It is never written to the database.

  • No data resale

No data is sold, rented or handed over, to an ad network or to anyone else.

  • Hosted in the European Union

The servers are in Germany, and the legal documents name every provider.

  • Your links stay yours

Analytics you can export to CSV, and a custom domain you can point elsewhere at any time.

  • Checked links

Every destination is checked against Google Web Risk when saved, then regularly, so your visitors do not walk into a trap.
