What is a dynamic QR code?
A QR code that holds a short link rather than the final address. The short link redirects to the destination of your choice, which you can change at any time, while the printed code never changes.
Do dynamic QR codes expire?
It works for as long as its short link does, and at Klyk a link never stops on its own: only if you delete it, if you gave it an end date, or if your account is closed.
Are dynamic QR codes free?
Yes, like the rest of the service today. A free account, no card required, gives every link its own customisable QR code, with its scans counted.
How are scans counted?
A Klyk QR code adds a discreet marker to the link it holds. Each scan is thus counted as a scan, apart from clicks, with the country, device and time, without cookies and without keeping the visitor’s IP address.
Can I make a printed static QR code dynamic?
No: a static code holds the address itself, and nothing can change it. You can, however, create a dynamic code to the same page now, and use it for your next print run.
What happens to my printed codes if I leave Klyk?
If your links are on your own domain, you can point that domain elsewhere: the printed codes keep working, with another service or on your own site. It is the best insurance for a code printed at scale.
