A Bitly alternative, without the quota or the cookies

Bitly’s free plan counts your links: five a month, two QR codes, no domain in your name and no editable destination. Klyk includes all of it with no monthly quota, and measures your clicks without setting a cookie on your visitors.

  • Free, no card required
  • No visitor cookies

Why switch

What you gain

  • Analytics from the first link

Countries, devices, sources, campaigns and QR scans, crossed with each other, without moving to a paid plan. The analytics.

  • Your domain, at no extra cost

Your links on go.yourbrand.com, with HTTPS handled for you. The custom domain.

  • Editable destinations

Change where a link leads, or a QR code already in print, as often as you need. The dynamic QR code.

  • Visitors nobody follows

No cookies, no ad IDs, no IP addresses kept. The data stays in Germany.

  • Deep links included

YouTube, Instagram or Spotify open in their app, on any link. The deep links.

  • Routing and A/B tests

A destination by country, device or language, and weighted variants to compare two pages.

In all honesty

When Bitly is still the better choice

Klyk is young, and does not do everything. Better to know before you choose.

  • Large teams

Bitly offers shared workspaces, group permissions and dedicated support. Klyk is built today for one person or a small team.

  • Ready-made integrations

Bitly plugs into many tools on the market. Klyk does not offer any yet.

  • A very long history

Bitly’s top plans keep click detail for up to a year. Klyk keeps it for 90 days, and keeps daily totals beyond that.

Switching gently

Moving from Bitly to Klyk

  1. Create your account

Free, no card required. Add your domain if you have one.

  2. Recreate your important links

Paste their destinations, and keep their back-half if you like. The links and their QR codes are ready at once.

  3. Take your domain back

If your Bitly links are on your own domain, point it at Klyk once the links are recreated: what is in print follows. Links on bit.ly stay with Bitly.

Frequently asked

Is Klyk really free?

Yes, today: links, QR codes, analytics and a custom domain are included, no card required. An hourly creation limit keeps abuse at bay, with no monthly quota.

Can I import my Bitly links?

Not automatically for now. Important links are recreated in seconds, with the same back-half if you serve them from your own domain.

Will my bit.ly links keep working?

They stay managed by Bitly, under its terms: Klyk cannot take over a bit.ly address. It can take over your own domain, though, and everything printed with it.

Where is the data stored?

In Germany, with Contabo. Visitors to your links receive no cookie, and their IP address is never stored.

Is Klyk related to Bitly?

No. Klyk is an independent service, published by Klybase Labs LLC. Bitly is a trademark of Bitly, Inc., named here for comparison.
